One-bedroom condo with a balcony, 15th floor

Unit 1504 is the bright one. Higher than most of the collection at fifteen floors and with glass on more than one aspect, it takes light for most of the day, and the living room is built around slow mornings rather than around the television.

The bedroom is separate and closes off completely. A king bed faces the window rather than the wall, which is the right decision at this height.

The kitchen is set up for cooking at home: full-height refrigerator, induction cooktop, wall oven, dishwasher, stone counters, and enough equipment to make a real dinner rather than assemble one. The dining table seats four.

The living room converts for extra guests with a sleeper sofa, and the washer and dryer are inside the condo. Wi-Fi is fast and there is a workspace if the trip is partly a working one.

The balcony looks straight across at the neighbouring downtown towers, a view that comes into its own at dusk. The building is close to I-35, and some guests may notice highway noise. A white-noise machine is provided for a more comfortable stay.
